After 15 years of innovation and printing, BDH Tullford has built a strong and creative relationship with Marshfield Farm Ice Cream. Read on to find out more about how we have helped them to build their brand awareness.

Award-winning ice cream maker Marshfield Farm made its first batch of ice cream in 1988. Today, it creates more than 30 delicious flavours and has grown into a thriving business while still maintaining a productive dairy farm, which provides the milk for their delicious treats. 

For the last 15 years, BDH Tullford has been working closely with Marshfield Farm to help them promote and raise awareness of their ice cream. This creative partnership has grown as Marshfield Farm’s business went from strength-to-strength, leading to some truly stand-out promotional products.

Perfect promotional signs

Pavement signs form the cornerstone of Marshfield Farm’s printed promotional needs. The numbers have grown over the years, but there are usually a number of different versions produced. These include a design for their highly popular doggy ice cream, Scoop’s.

To promote their ice creams, we have also produced eye-catching magnetic wall boards, a quick and clean alternative to blackboard signs, ice cream stabbers to identify the flavours on offer and personalised branded ice cream scoops. As the business places more focus on its retail offering, we have also started to produce tailored recipe card holders and shelving edge strips.

Thinking outside the box

To make their new range of dog ice creams really stand out, we worked alongside Marshfield Farm’s marketing team to make some very special promotional signage.

After the team at Marshfield Farm came up with the idea for a free-standing countertop design in the shape of a kennel, Business Development Director at BDH, Adrian Kingsland, ensured this bespoke creation was brought to life, which would catch the attention of customers and hold different-sized ice cream tubs. A similar design was also put forward for use in theatres, with the kennel being swapped out for a stage. 

“Adrian is really good at helping to turn ideas into reality,” commented Naomi Couzins-Short of Marshfield Farm. “This was a really great project to work on with BDH Tullford.”

Marshfield Farm loved the finished designs. “The end result looks really fun,” said Naomi. “We’ve had a really good response to them with some people requesting one of their own!”

A long-term relationship

BDH Tullford’s relationship with Marshfield Farm has stood the test of time thanks to its foundation on quick turnaround times and speedy communication. “Their general customer care is great. They’re also very competitive on price,” reported Naomi.

This relationship looks set to continue into the future. “We’re always keen to explore new avenues and products,” explained Naomi. “BDH Tullford are really good at working with us they are very adaptable. You can just throw a project at them and they’ll work with it or look for a new solution.”
